Google Search Console & GA4

  1. 1Open any client and go to the Analytics tab.
  2. 2Click Connect and authorise the Google account with access to the client's GSC and GA4 properties.
  3. 3Select the correct GSC property and GA4 property from the dropdowns.
  4. 4Data syncs automatically every 72 hours. Each client has its own Google connection.
GSC data lags 2-3 days, this is a Google limitation. Kendr accounts for it automatically.

WordPress

  1. 1Go to the client's Details tab and enter the site URL, WordPress username, and an Application Password (generated in WordPress under Users, Profile, Application Passwords).
  2. 2Click Sync posts to import all published posts and pages.
  3. 3Download and install the Kendr SEO plugin directly from inside Kendr after syncing.
  4. 4The plugin enables writing meta titles, descriptions, focus keywords, and canonicals to Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, or AIOSEO.
Requires WordPress 5.6+ and HTTPS. Available on Pro and Agency plans.

Ahrefs

  1. 1Copy your API key from ahrefs.com under Account, then API.
  2. 2Paste it into Kendr Settings, Integrations, Ahrefs API Key.
  3. 3Ahrefs Overview cards (Domain Rating, Organic Keywords, Top 3, Organic Traffic) appear on every client's Analytics tab.
  4. 4Add keyword targets per client and check rankings on demand or via daily auto-refresh.
Requires an Ahrefs Standard or Advanced plan with API credits.

keyword.com

  1. 1Copy your API key from keyword.com under Settings, then API.
  2. 2Paste it into Kendr Settings, Integrations, keyword.com API Key.
  3. 3Link existing keyword.com projects to clients via a dropdown in the Analytics tab.
  4. 4For AI Visibility tracking, enter the domain ID from keyword.com's AI Visibility dashboard.
Kendr reads from your existing projects. Set up projects and keywords in keyword.com first.

ClickUp

  1. 1Generate a personal API token in ClickUp under Profile, Apps, then API.
  2. 2Find the List ID from the ClickUp list URL (the number at the end).
  3. 3Enter both in Kendr Settings, Integrations.
  4. 4Toggle "Push to ClickUp" on for each service in the Services page, then push from the Planner tab.
Requires an active ClickUp account. Available on Pro and Agency plans.

Site Crawler & SEO Audit

  • Crawl any client site and detect missing titles, meta descriptions, H1 issues, thin content, noindex pages, image alt text, and canonical mismatches.
  • Sort and filter results by URL, HTTP status, GSC clicks, or issue type.
  • Open the fix panel, run AI Suggest, and apply changes directly to WordPress in one click.

Content Editor & AI Writing Pro+

  • Set a target keyword and supporting keywords per document. All AI actions use these as context.
  • Use slash commands on any blank line: /intro, /conclusion, /section, /faq, /bullets, /improve.
  • Highlight any text and type an instruction, AI rewrites inline with Accept, Reject, or Rewrite options.
  • Generate slug, meta title, and meta description via AI. Send for client review or publish to WordPress.

AI Strategy Assistant Pro+

  • Open any client and click the AI button (top right) to open the chat sidebar.
  • Has full context: client budget, GSC data, GA4 sessions, Ahrefs metrics, and plan history.
  • Ask strategic questions like "Which pages are losing clicks?" or "What should I focus on this month?"
  • Preset prompt suggestions at the top of the panel. Conversational, follow up in the same session.

Task Manager

  • See tasks from all clients in one view. Combines manual tasks and plan items automatically.
  • Switch between list view (sortable table) and board view (Kanban drag-and-drop).
  • Filter by client, status, priority, or source. Mark done with a click, Undo option appears briefly.
  • Overdue badge on the Tasks nav item updates in real time.

Publishing Reports

  • Go to any client's Planner tab and click Publish report.
  • Kendr captures a snapshot of the current plan, analytics, rankings, and Ahrefs data.
  • Shareable link generated. Clients open it without logging in. Token costs are never shown.
  • View history in the History tab. PDF download available from the report modal.

Backlink Monitor

  • Go to any client's Backlinks tab and add the URL of the linking page.
  • Click Check or Check all to verify live and dofollow status in real time.
  • Status displayed as Live (green), Broken (red), or Pending (grey).
  • Notes column for recording anchor text, referring domain, or context.

Citation Monitor (NAP Checker)

  • Fill in business name, address, and phone in the client's Details tab first.
  • Add citation URLs in the Citations tab. Check crawls the page and fuzzy-matches NAP data.
  • For blocked sites, use "Set manually" to type what's listed, Kendr matches it against client details.
  • Handles UK phone variants, Ltd/Limited, &/and, partial addresses, and postcodes.

Customising the Analytics Layout

  • Go to any client's Analytics tab and click Customise layout (top right).
  • Drag sections into your preferred order, then save. Layout applies across all clients.
  • Sections: GSC & GA4, Ahrefs Overview, Keyword Rankings (Ahrefs), Keyword Rankings (keyword.com), AI Visibility.
  • Sections only appear if the relevant integration is configured for that client.

Adding & Managing Clients

  • Dashboard, then + Add client. Set name, monthly budget, reset day, and website URL.
  • Archive clients instead of deleting, all data is preserved and can be restored anytime.
  • Active client limits: Starter 5, Pro 13, Agency 30, Enterprise unlimited.
  • Tokens & Currency: go to Settings, Currency to switch between Tokens, USD, GBP, or EUR.

What does the Kendr WordPress plugin do?
The plugin adds REST endpoints so Kendr can reliably write SEO meta fields to your client's WordPress site. It detects whichever SEO plugin is active, Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, or AIOSEO, and writes to the correct meta keys automatically. Without the plugin, the standard WordPress REST API doesn't expose SEO plugin fields.
How do slash commands work in the content editor?
Type / on a blank line to open the command palette. Use arrow keys to navigate and Enter to run. Available commands: /intro, /conclusion, /section, /faq, /bullets, /improve. Each command uses the document's target keyword and supporting keywords as context.
Can the crawler fix issues automatically?
Yes, for title and meta description issues. Open the fix panel on any crawl result, click AI Suggest to generate optimised values, then click Apply fix to WordPress. Kendr re-crawls the page automatically after a few seconds to verify the change went live. WordPress posts must be synced first via Details, WordPress, Sync posts.
What's the difference between plan items and manual tasks?
Plan items come from a client's active Planner, when you add services to a client's monthly plan, they appear in the Task Manager automatically. Manual tasks are created directly in the Tasks tab and can be assigned to any client. Both appear together in the combined task list and board view.
How do I give a client access to review content?
Open the document, then click Send for Review. This generates a unique shareable link. Your client opens it in their browser, highlights specific passages, and leaves comments, no Kendr account or login required. A badge appears on the Content nav item when new submissions arrive.
What does the 'Send for Publishing' link show?
A read-only view of the article with all CMS metadata, slug, meta title, meta description, and target keyword, each with a one-click copy button. It's designed for handing off to a developer or CMS editor who doesn't have access to Kendr. The link always shows the latest version of the document.
Why is my GSC data delayed?
Google Search Console lags 2-3 days, this is a Google limitation and not something Kendr can override. Kendr accounts for this automatically by setting the sync end date to 3 days before today, so you're always seeing complete data rather than a partial day.
Can my clients see token costs or pricing in reports?
No. Public reports and all shared links (review links, publishing links) never show token quantities, costs, or any pricing information. Clients only see service names, deliverables, and analytics data.
How do I downgrade or cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings, then Subscription. Click Downgrade to open the Stripe Billing Portal where you can change or cancel your plan. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period, you keep full access until then.
Why isn't my ClickUp push working?
Check two things: first, verify your API key and List ID are entered correctly in Settings, Integrations. Second, make sure the relevant services have "Push to ClickUp" toggled on in the Services page. Both need to be set for the push button to appear on a plan.
How do I change the token or currency display?
Go to Settings, then Currency. Choose from Tokens, USD, GBP, or EUR. Refresh the browser after saving for the change to take effect across the app.
How do I add a new service category?
When adding or editing a service, type a new name in the Category field to create a category on the fly. You can also manage categories from the Categories button on the Services page, rename or delete existing ones. Deleting a category moves its services to "Other" automatically.
